Tribute to a Starchitect
Created a poster highlighting a chosen 'starchitect,' featuring their portrait, three iconic buildings, and a brief biography with interesting facts or quotes. The process involved sketching an initial design on A4 paper, then refining and composing the final poster on A3-size paper. The poster was colored using a thoughtful palette to capture and express the architect's unique style and identity.

Reflection
As a student new to watercolor, this project was a valuable learning experience in both technique and composition. Selecting the right composition was key to effectively showcasing the architect's work, and I experimented with various layouts before settling on one that balanced the portrait, buildings, and text. Working with watercolor added another layer of challenge, as I had to consider how the medium’s fluidity and transparency would interact with the composition. Though it was daunting at first, I gradually learned how to control the paint and use it to highlight the architect’s distinctive style. This process not only improved my watercolor skills but also deepened my understanding of how composition can influence the overall impact of a visual piece.
